We have a Bermuda lawn in the DFW area and have found white grub worms. We had them treated but have noticed mounds of dirt with holes about 2-3 inches deep and about 1 inch in diameter after a recent rain. I've been searching to find out if it is the grubs or another animal hunting for grubs causing the problem. Prior to the grub treament we did see small mounds of dirt (like something was coming up from the soil) but hadn't seen these larger mounds with the deep holes. HELP!

It's probably moles. We have them, too. Our cat -- and the neighbor's dog -- like them very much! :D So we don't bother trying to chase them out.

The moles are there to eat the grubs. Moles love grubs.
This product is recommended to get rid of the moles:

Here's a link where you can learn more about moles, and hopefully the article will help you diagnose for certain whether it really is moles troubling you:

As a final tip, be sure to check out the Natural Organic Library (http://www.dirtdoctor.com/organic/garden/faq/letter/M/). You can find lots of great information that will help you with your organic yard.

Hope that helps!

Thank you. Our dog has a mean bark but is only 11 pounds. Not sure who would get the "win" if he and the critter actually met up. Appreciate the insight.

Your dog could probably take out a mole. Our cat is probably only 8 or 9 pounds. What's funny is watching a really big dog go after one. The dog next door has dug until all I could see was his rump and tail sticking out of the ground. He got it, too. 8)
