Hello!
I have a weeping cherry tree that is weeping sap. I'm not sure if we have borers or not, but I have already exposed the root flare (it was planted a bit too deep when it was planted). Besides possible borers and suffering from being planted too deep, can the tree also suffer from stress? I live in northern NJ and it has been a very hot and rather dry summer. We've purchased the Tree Trunk Goop to apply to the trunk. Does anyone know if I should first try to remove as much of the sap as possible before I apply the Goop and should I apply to Goop just to the places from where the sap is coming? Thanks in advance to everyone for any help they can provide.
