Post subject:  Peach & Plum Tree question

This may not be the right forum for this question but here goes. We have planted several Plum and Peach Trees (North Texas-Collin County area) which means we have the heavy clay problem soil, I need to know what we can amend the soil around the trees. These trees were planted in late winter and the Peach trees are loaded with Peaches.

I think we need to use lava sand, green sand, dry molasses and corn meal and spray with garret juice. Is there more stuff to be added or are I'm doing this wrong? We use only the organic material.. Any info would be grateful...

You can amend with anything you want, but if you want to do what's best for peaches, get a soil test done. I recommend the Texas Plant and Soil Lab. Tell them what you are growing and they'll help you.
