We are starting up an alpaca farm and have been gathering a lot of info on various items. One of which is feed.

We have been using Muenster for our dogs for over a year now and it is wonderful! No fleas, and maybe one tick on three dogs even during the spring and summer. So, we are Muenster lovers. We also use the Muenster horse feed for our horse and donkeys. They are doing great as well.

Has anyone tried their llamas and/or alpacas on Musenter llama/alpaca feed? How well did it work?

We heard from a nearby farm that helped Muenster develop the llama/alpaca feed formula that they had a problem with keeping the corn, wheat, etc. fillers to consistent levels due to their suppliers not maintaining consistency. We were told that this led to variations in their fleece quality (they breed and show).

Has anyone else had this problem?

Since we are starting a fleece farm, this will be important to us to keep an eye on.
