We have a small yard (and small garden), so I have run out of room. I am thinking about putting a few pepper and tomato plants in pots on my very sunny patio. Any advice or tips for container gardening? What other vegetables would work well in containers? I am also thining about the Fall garden. What fall vegetables would do well in a container? Thanks!

All that you mentioned do well in containers. Use large containers w/ drain holmes and be sure you get tomatoes that are determinant, which stay smaller than the indeterminant ones. Use a tomato cage for them, and possibly your peppers too. The biggest mistake most people make is that pack too many plants in a pot and don't leave them enough room to mature. Most herbs work very well in pots, but in the fall, watch the basil because they are very tender.
