Getting ready to plant & have been told to plant by moon? There is a lot of info on it - some say only way - others say doesn't make any difference! Anybody have any history - now is the time to plant here, but rain is still not in site, but can't really wait till April?

I normally start planting potatoes and onions in early to mid February with no problems. If you are still concerned about the cold winter weather, put more slightly undone compost over the plantings as a thicker mulch. It will keep it warmer better during these colder times until spring.
