I was using cottonseed meal to furnish nitrogen for my strawberries growing in a strawberry pot. Didn't get any strawberries. Now I find out that strawberries like to have a pH more alkaline than the cottonseed meal will provide.

Any suggestions on a fertilizer that will be more alkaline?

Any other ideas on strawberries in a strawberry pot?

I just use a weekly dose of fish emulsion and aerated compost tea.
I plant my strawberries in a rich homemade compost blend in my pots and containers.

Happy Gardening!
