Post subject:  Fruit? Identification

My wife, who is from Hong Kong, and our friend, who is native Taiwanese, talk about a fruit, I guess it is, that looks like a green citrus, had red flesh and has a name like Necta..... but they insist that it is NOT a nectarine but is instead a citrus.

Anyone have any ideas on what it is? They would really like me to raise one as they have never seen any or even heard of any in the US.

what do you mean "it looks like a green citrus"?

They say that it is eaten while green, I am not sure if, in the end, it does change colors like typical citrus. Also, its "skin" is of a typical orange/grapefruit/lime/lemon type nature.

They also clarify that it is not a lychee or anything like that.

They have also said that the inside was white now and not red.

They say that have not seen it in any of the asian markets around here, Houston, or even around New York city, where my wife lived for a while.
