Post subject:  Who to buy seeds from

Many of us have started our gardens and some of us are waiting till that last average date of frost (March 15) to get the veggie garden going.
If you haven't purchased your seeds yet I would ask you to consider www.victoryseeds.com.
Their mission is to educate people about seed saving practices (the way our ancestors did), organic gardening principles, and the importance of preserving old plant species.
This is the type of company that we should be purchasing from vs buying your seeds at Home Depot or Wal-Mart.
Agri-chemical conglomerates are buying up little seed companies and thousands of old varieties have been dropped and forever lost. This is often a deliberate act so you will eventually have to buy their patented GM seeds.
Please support companies like Victory seeds.

So, anybody know of any nurseries that sell non-gmo tomato plants? I meant to start some earlier, but oh well....

I use two sites for seeds and seedlings:
www.seedsavers.org and
www.tomatoheaven.com
Both are organic, and their customer service is fantastic. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know of a place that sells Heatwave tomato seed? This is the original Heatwave, not Heatwave II.
Thanks, KZ

I mainly use www.rareseeds.com. They have the highest germination rate of any of the seeds that I have purchased. Most of their stock is heirloom plant varieties.

can anyone give a recommendation for seeds of change out of NM?
i ordered tons of seeds from them, and have had poor results, which is most likely my own newbie fault!
i didn't see them listed among your favorites, and was just wondering if anyone has had good or bad experiences...
thanks!
