I have tomato plants that I started from seed. They germinated fine, I tranferred to larger pots until time to go into the ground. They just have not grown much at all. ( too small to set out in garden) What do they need? I have a few that have really grown. Everything else seems to be doing ok except the broccoli, its not growing much either. Help |

Try putting some bat guano on the soil. You might also mist them with Garrett Juice |

Thanks, I will try that. I sprayed with Garrett Juice a couple of days ago. |

Might also be due to this weird roller-coaster weather. They should take off when the soil warms up (the tomatoes, I mean. Haven't tried broc down here). |

December is a bit early to start tomatoes in Oklahoma. You must have a greenhouse. How are they doing now? I planted seed on the 9th (of February) and many of the seedlings are now 2" tall. I have a hard time thinning, but will do it anyway. Last year I didn't and I let the plants grow their suckers. My tomato production was low. This time I am not going to be so hard-headed and I will follow directions better. The only fertilization thus far is a teaspoon of liquid seaweed in the gallon of water I used to soak the growing medium prior to planting. |
