I have collards that are still producing from last spring. We have been enjoying them all winter. I just noticed squash bugs on them  But have also noticed that they have some kind of blossom shooting up from the middle of the plants. I was hoping the leave them where they are at and keep on using them this spring and not replant. Can I pinch the blossoms off? and keep using the leaves, or are they done for the season??? This is my first year to try to hold collards over. Suggestions??? :?:

Keep them heavily mulched and use various compost tea recipes on them as much as possible. They will stay around until temps average over 80 degrees easily. When they are gone, just green manure them into your soil.
