Post subject:  Temp. plantg idea for berry plants

I don't know how well this will work but here is what i did....
Purchase several berry bushes . I wanted to buy them now to get a good selection, but have not cleared an area or prepared beds for them yet.

I was lucky that amongst the bags of leaves I had collected, there were several bags that weighed about 20lbs because they were so dense with moist pre-composted leaves, branches, nuts, & topsoil. The white beneficial fungi filaments were all over the leaves.

I took the berry plants and loosened the roots up and planted them at the top of the leaves still in the blk plastic yard bag.( If i had any compost at the time, i would have covered the top of roots with it.) but, just covered with the leaves, then watered with rain water.
I'm hoping the black bags will colllect a little warmth and stimulate
root growth until i can properly create their beds. Will monitor them closely for moisture needs, and if i don't kill them, i'll pass on if this worked.
wish me luck!
