How big will a bell pepper and pimento plant get?
I found out last year that poblanos get alot bigger than jalapenos grow. I didn't space them far enough apart.

It depends on a lot of things. I have had some quite large bell pepper plants (sprawling out 4-5 feet across). Soil, water, weather, all can impact. Are you planting in a known garden plot? How did last year's plant in that area grow?

Last year (same garden) my jalepenos, banana peppers and sweet cherry peppers all grew about 2-1/2 or three feet tall and about 2 feet wide. This is the usual size my pepper plants grow. But my poblanos where easily 5 feet tall when they folded my caged over, and 3 or four feet wide (Only bad thing was it only made smallish peppers).

I am trying to see if the bell pepper plants are going to go crazy like that. If so, I am wanting to make sure I space them out farther than the other peppers.

Thanks for the advise.

My jalapeno peppers have usually stayed fairly small. My poblano also got quite large. My bell peppers are usually mid-range between those two. I always try to start out with plenty of room between plants but my garden usually grows into one huge hedge of stuff. :)

I spaced things out with what I hope will be enough room, but if not, then that must mean I've got a good garden going.

I always put a small tomato cage around my peppers, eggplants etc. They tend to get top-heavy when in fruit and can't be damaged by wind. My peppers usually get 3x3.
