We planted 6 Early Girls in early April. They are all healthy and beautiful with LOTS of tomatoes and making more all the time. So far, though, none have ripened. I picked a couple, but they never ripened on the counter either.

Basics: we are 100% organic; the tomatoes get 6-7 hours of straight, full sun each day; they are mulched well; there are no pests bothering them.

Anyone else have experience with this?

Thank you in advance for your time and help! :D

Even once they are of full size it can take weeks to ripen.

Is that unique to the early girl variety, or common to large fruited tomatoes?

My celebrity tomatoes, and Romas, have been full size for awhile now. Just patiently waiting for them to blush.
