I was given a pallet of zinnias by a friend that had no description on them. I have never seen any like this before (I'm new to all of this) and absolutely love them! Is it possible to harvest seeds from the plant so that I can replant them year after year. By the way, I did go to the garden center where they were purchsed and they didn't have anymore.

Wait till the seed heads have dried, then harvet the seeds. You can easily reseed them that way...they are easy to grow. Give them lots of sun, don't over water, and remove the dead flowers to keep the plant blooming.

Let some of the flowers fade and dry before harvesting the seeds. If you do want continual blooms, deadhead only some of them, leaving the others from which to gather seeds.

Zinnias are great; they attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

I bought some tiny orange perrenial zinnias a couple yrs ago & LOVE 'em. They did indeed come up again altho not as vigorously. There must be a way to save seeds b/c I had several 'volunteers' come up from my compost I took 60 miles away for the garden on our land! :)
