I have had Salvia Greggii planted for 4 years and were doing great. This year they are looking sick, I wonder if this wet weather is having an affect? What if any thing can I do except pray for hot dry weather?

Can you describe how it looks, other than "sick"?

Yes, they have lost most of their foilage, this spring they were in great shape with many flowers. I have cut back which I usually do in July to prompte more flowers.

Well I think that if they did great up till now, and you don't see any pests, then it probably was all the rain. They like to stay dry. Make sure they are in a well drained bed and get lots of sun.

I have mine planted on the side of the house and it never gets watered unless it rains. They are only a year old. They bloom off an on all summer.

I think it has to do with the soil. Mine are in really good mushroom compost and mulch. They do great, if they don't get too dry. Then they shed leaves. They are still blooming their heads off. I do prune about 1/3 like I read, every time they seem to stop blooming and they start right up, again.
