Is This Rose a climber?
I have a clone from a rose my mother had from about 50 yrs ago. It grew in an umbrella shape with many, many stems. Never got over about 5 feet tall. I don't think she ever pruned it. It had clusters of 5 to 11 quarter sizes pinkish blossoms in Spring. It was a beautiful specimen. We all called it Seven Sisters, but I saw Seven Sisters referred to somewhere as a climber. Is this correct or is this some other old Rose ??
Several in my family have clones, but none grow like the original. I just got mine last Spring. Thanks for any help........PW

Seven Sisters is a climber.

The following info is from the Antique Rose Emporium www.weareroses.com

Hyb Multiflora

Both this rose and R. multiflora carnea were painted by Redouté in France and both are frequently found in early Texas gardens. By the effort that it took to transport them through the intervening miles, those early settlers have left their own testimony about the need for beauty in even the most rugged human existence. ‘Seven Sisters’ is named for the variety of colors that can appear in each cluster of flowers, ranging from carmine through purple, mauve, pink, and cream as the flowers fade.

15 to 20 feet
