The spelling might be wrong, but I know all of you will know what I talking about. :)

I have several of these in my flower bed that belonged to my Mother. I no longer have room for them in that flower bed and am wondering if these will do ok in another one that is facing NW...gets hot summer sun in the summer...cold wind and rain and maybe even ice in the winter. The flower bed they are in now is in the SE corner of my yard.

I live in Rockwall, Tx. The chance of a hard freeze is very slight..LOL but it does get hot.

I need to thin these out and how do you think they will do in the NW flower bed? Remember...they are the hardy type...I've moved them from my mom's flower bed to my other home...then from that home to this one and have never lost one.

Thank you for any/all opinions.

You may never know until you try, but we had one in very much the same location as you are describing and it did very well. It was completely exposed to sun and wind and had radiant heat from the bricks on the house. You might help it along by keeping it well mulched, but it can't hurt to try in the new location.
