Should Pampas Grass be cut back after the winter or not? If so, how much should be cut off. I have 4 very large Pampas Grass clumps and the snow this year has really beat them down and the foliage is all brown. Thanks. Ann |

This may be to late, but I cut mind back in late November or March or April, and I prune them down to about a foot to 2 feet, and then just let them grow. |

We usually cut it in mid winter to get the best result. The blades are very sharp. So, we use gloves, long sleeve shirt while pruning. |

Thank you for both of your answers. I think we will cut them back this year during the lat winter. |
