We have recently planted several dwarf wax myrtles and one southern wax myrtle. We have noticed brown leaves laying under the plants. Since they were planted in the heat of the summer is this the reason? Also, along as they are kept alive, will the myrtles replace the fallen leaves?

There will be no regrowth at this time of the year, but if the leaf drop has stopped, the plants should be fine - unless they drowned recently.
