I am going to till my yard and correct the slant and make it more level. I am going to do this in about a month. To kill the evil Dallisgrass, I am going to used a small gas torch, like used to solder, and burn the top off, so it is easier to see, and then possibly add a small amount of vinegar right on top of the top of the root that I will be able to see much clearer. After which, I will use a small spade and dig them up the day before we till the yard. The next day, I will put new sod on the yard. I will most likely till some compost into the soil when tilling.

Any thoughts, especially on my Dallisgrass destruction technique?

I am not going to use the torch and vinegar at the same time. I will torch the grass first, put the flame out, tamp it down some and then give 15-20 minutes while I torch other pieces of Dallisgrass. I think that will give it plenty of time to be cold with no chance of ignition.
