Post subject:  Another weed with little purple flowers, and it's not henbit

I get this weed every year about this time. I've tried the corn gluten meal applied in the October timeframe for the cool weather weeds. Didn't have much effect. It comes up about the same time as henbit. I've had nurseries call in spurge, but I don't think that's what it is. The flowers have 4 tiny petals, and it's only about 1/8 inch across. The flowers are not real prevalent right now. I'm up in Allen, TX. Here's a link to the picture of it. The flowers are up in the right corner of the pic, and are hard to see. Give it a shot.

Yahoo has never allowed hotlinks directly into pictures.

But, it sounds like a type of aster to me.

I'd be happy to email it to you're if your interested. I did a search on images in yahoo on aster, they didn't resemble what I've got.
