Hi,
I live in Carrollton, Tx and I am wondering if it is too late to apply corn gluten meal.
I've read that it should be used before weed germination. How do I know when that is?

Thanks for your help!

A few weeks ago would have been better but now will work.

Nice thing with CGM is that even if there is not a single weed seed in your yard, it is a pretty potent fertilizer - very high protein (Nitrogen) and the worms like to eat it :-)

Agreed. The big one to stop is crabgrass.

The time to apply is when the forsythia tell you. When they are in full bloom, go buy the CGM.

Thanks for the advice CHF3. I went ahead and added it last weekend before the rain.

I googled forsythia and have never seen it around our neighborhood, but I found on organicaretexas.com that mid Feb and mid Sept is a good time, so hopefully I will remember when Sept rolls around.

thanks again for the responses!
