Post subject: | Dying lawn, need help quick |
I am in desperate need of a lawn consultant. Our lawn is 5 years old and we have tried an organic approach for the last 3 years. I haven't been very successful. Each year the weeds are getting worse and the bermuda turf is dying out. In many sections, when I go to pull up a weed, the grass around it has no root depth and the grass lifts up like carpet in a 1-2 foot area. I need to find a lawn consultant in the Dallas area that can tell me what is going on. I need to fix it fast. The HOA in our area has even sent us a letter to get the weeds under control. I want to stay organic, and I realize that I will probably have to replace areas of the lawn but I need help fast. Thanks for any help that the forum can provide! Ross |

How often are you watering and for how long? How high/low are you mowing and how often? What have you fertilized with and when? |

Some friends of ours used these guys http://www.greenlawncare.net/locations/Pennsylvania.html and were pleased with the results. They came and assessed their lawn and came up with a plan for them. Our friends were really pleased, they'd just moved into a new house and the garden was in a bit of a mess. They only use natural fertilizers too. Have a look, they're all over the US. Good luck. |
