This is not a question but rather a testimony. :D

I was having problems with my front lawn for a few years, it never seems to get green and seemed to have deficiency problems. I tried putting just about everything I could think of over that time but nothing really seem to last. Finally, I got desperate and made a mixture of Garrett Juice, Howards Seaweed and Fish mixture and his molasses. I just about tripled the amounts directed making the mixture about 25% and 75% H2O. (I do not advise this, follow Howards directive. This was my own idea on my own yard.) I used an airpump, for fish tanks, to aerate the potion 48 hours.

I sprayed it on a small experimental section of my yard in September. Well, about a month later that 2'X2' spot became the darkest green, no rot, no fungus spot in my whole yard. I though it might just be a temporary thing only affecting the grass on top and that as the grass grew it would merely grow the green out of the way and become brown again.

To my surprise, it is still the darkest green, most beautiful spot in the whole neighborhood....5 months later! It is dark green all the way down to the base runner with no brown in sight. Just to make sure, I have done another test spot and if it works again, I am going to spray my whole yard.

I will check on that original spot, regularly, and when it starts to fade I will make a note make it a regular event.

Once again....no chemicals, no TrueGreen or any of that...just fish, seaweed, molasses, compost tea and vinegar did wonders!

Thanks for posting this. I think the fish and seaweed combo in itself is a cure-all but that potion you mentioned sounds great. I too have had a light green lawn and I did the lava sand / green sand combo last year and the exact amounts prescribed and my lawn never greened up like everyone else. I look forward to hearing more about your experiment.

Using that heavy a rate doesn't hurt anything - just wastes money. Thanks for the report.
