I had put down CGM in early Sept for its pre-emergent effects on my Bermuda. I had also put down Texas Tea in June as I felt it is a more balanced organic fertilizer. Will it harm the pre-emergent benefits of CGM if I put Texas Tea now? Will Texas Tea be of any benefit or will it be a waste of $$ this late in the season? Thanks.

I think you can go ahead and do it.

I generally told customers, and do for my clients, to wait about 4-6 wks after CGM application and then put down a balanced organic fertilizer for the fall. If you have a great turf/soil condition, you may be able to skip this step. But, if you're new or the soil is stressed and not up to snuff yet, then you'll gain the benefits of the variety of nutrients and microbes from something like Texas Tea (what i use) or bioform, (if fishy smell doesn't bother you). The CGM stimulates the microbes, too - but lacks the P-K of the NPK equation. Good thing is you can put it down almost whenever you want. Just don't try to stimulate too much right before a freeze if you can help it. May brown the tips and look icky for the winter.
