How late in the year can you plant sod? Also, if we plant in a checkerboard style will it fill in or will we have an uneven lawn? |

Bermuda is planted every month of the year, just go into any housing development and you will see it being done. However, I believe spring and late summer are the best times to plant sod. If you plant in a checkerboard pattern you will have a checkerboard pattern. The weeds will fill in the open spaces before the bermuda can and you will have an uneven lawn. If you have a choice financially, don't do it. Tony M |
