I need some advice. I have a high amount of shade along the side of my house, and trying to find some ground cover that will stay. I am tired of planting fescue every year, there has to be a better way. But also have to be concerned with whatever I plant I can control and not creep into neighbors yard. Grass would be great, but can't think of anything that would work....would love to hear ideas and advice. Thanks! |

what part of the country are you in? Grasses typically grow where there is sunlight and moisture. Unless there is a physical barrier between your yard and your neighbors, it probably will spread. You might be better off applying a shredded wood mulch instead of grass. |

North central Texas is location. I thought about mulch, but not sure how that would stand up to rain/erosion |

I have 2 inches of shredded bark mulch in part of my yard under the drip line. It remains in place in the heaviest of rains. |

Visit any good nursery cause they would have many options of ground covers for shade. |
