This may be an old topic, but how can I best clean mold/mildew from the shower without poisoning the water? :?

We've discussed quite a few ideas below in the "Organic Shower Cleaning" post, but fresh hydrogen peroxide is one thing that will work. Household grade peroxide has stabilizers added, so it isn't entirely pure, but it still should be a good choice. A baking soda scrub (leave on for at least 10 minutes before scrubbing it off) should work, as should vinegar. Adding salt to the vinegar should make it work even better, and lemon juice probably works better than vinegar. If the buildup is heavy, you probably should scrub off some of the bio-mass first before applying the peroxide. I don't know if anyone has yet reported on trying corn meal juice on shower mold. Home remedy suggestions that rely on using dishwasher detergents mostly are using the bleach in them, which usually is chlorine, and the peroxide covers that angle.
