Maybe an unusual question, but perhaps someone can help.

We have some Webelos Cub Scouts (10 yrs old) who need to study up for their Forester Activity award. They need to find out information on such things as:

- the different types of forests
- the layers within a forest
- types of trees in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area
- types of forest plants other than trees
- how and why trees grow
- how to read tree growth rings
- how fires affect a forest
- where we can help plant some new trees

Thought this was an excellent time to teach them right - the Natural Way.

Anyone in the area that you are familiar with that puts on a program such as this?

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.

Neil Sutter

Neil,
You should repost your topic under the Gardener Exchange forum, or any others that seem appropriate. This forum is devoted to helping folks with questions about how to use this web board. I'm afraid most users won't see your post in this forum.
Thanks
