I started a garden this season in February. Planted tomatoes in March, and they have taken off. I've already been able to eat some ripe ones.

I noticed this week, that a lot of the other green tomatoes are now black and rotting on their bottoms. Not all, but alot. Is this a sign of something specific?

The plants themselves look ok.

What can I do to salvage the vegetables and plants?

Thanks

Listening to Howard today; He said blossom end rot is likely due to too much moisture and possibly you need to apply soft rock phosphate to the soil. I would use horticultural cornmeal in the soil & spray the plants with cornmeal juice/Garrett juice mixture to help. Keep soil moist, not wet & use a mulch around the plants.
