OK, if I was having trouble getting my pile warm before, now I'm really in a bind! How do I get it going again? I had bought some molasses to mis with water to try to warm things up, but hadn't quite gotten around to it yet. My piles are pretty simple - just a plain ol chicken wire enclosure. I had recenlty split them, so I had one that would finish up in time for spring & the other one for on-going kitchen scraps etc. I had also been thinking of getting some of that black plastic to sheild them somewhat - hadn't quite figured out how to do it exactly to keep the sides up, kwim? Am I sunk? |

don't worry about it all today, once the snow begins to melt, sprinkle 5 lbs. of dry molasses on each one, water it in (the snow may do this). that should get it going. |

Thanks! As we all know by now, the snow wasn't really much of a threat, was it? I'm hoping for some nice weather this weekend to get out & work a bit in the yard *crossing fingers* |
