So how can one spread compost tea over a large lawn effectively? Will spraying compost tea using a hose end sprayer be ineffective because of the chlorine in the tap water? It would take hours to use a small pump sprayer to cover a large lawn. Thoughts?

You can put it in a hose end sprayer, but you'll have to refill it a few times. Use the concentrated Garrett Juice or your own compost tea. A backpack pressure sprayer can do the job also, depending again on how concentrated you make it. I'm thinking of the kind that holds about 1 1/2 gallons. You can get them for a very reasonable price at Tractor Supply (I think when I bought mine it was a package of 2 for $20). And I'm sure they have various sizes of pumps in addition to those. The dilution amount doesn't have to be precise for compost tea.

Here is information from the Organic Library.

Once the compost tea is applied to plants and lawn, is there a period of time that I need to wait before I can water with regular tap water? If chlorine is harmful to compost team, it seems like watering would destroy all the benefits of using compost tea in the first place.

Just use tap water. It's too much trouble to try to use anything else for that quantity.
