Back in April of last year'10 I bought 2 of those compostable Sun Chip bags of chips, finished the 1st. one and put it in the compost pile about a foot deep, the 2nd one I decided to cut it into strips to see if it helped.Well today,2/07/11 I turned my pile and I'm sorry to say they both looked like I just put them in there yesterday, although the 2nd. one is starting to show the orange color of the bag rubbing off alittle bit.

Thank you for this great research feedback. I assume that you know that the compostable bag was abandoned by Frito-Lay several months after it was introduced. They got the PR and marketing impressions that they wanted by promoting and advertising their great new bag for a year - that it was coming soon. Then they just made it go away. They are doing the same thing now with thier "natural" advertising. It is amazing that a company thinks that it can con the public through a lot of advertising dollars. Hopefully your research and the good common sense of others will see through the Frito-Lay green washing about their "nutritious" and "healthy" snacks.

You know they did another screw-up last year, they(Fritolay),had an ad on the back of some magazines that showed people picking potatoes from a bush and not the real way.I called Fritolay and asked them where I could see this remarkable potato bush, the women who was on the phone said she didn't knowwhat to tell me/ :D
