just got in from turning my compost pile and have noticed alot of cockroaches,short and fat ones,Not like the kind you would find in your house,Should I try and get rid of'em or just keep 'em. :roll:

Cockroaches in the pile are your friends. They decompose stuff in the pile, leave behind rich roach dung, and then they die leaving their carcasses there to decompose.

Hey just wanted to get back to y'all,this year -2011,there are no more cockroaches at all,they all seemed to have disappered by Dec. of 2010. :shock:

Yup! It is interesting to see how critters come and go to the compost pile. I have not seen a worm in my pile in a couple years.
