just got in from turning my compost pile and have noticed alot of cockroaches,short and fat ones,Not like the kind you would find in your house,Should I try and get rid of'em or just keep 'em. |

Cockroaches in the pile are your friends. They decompose stuff in the pile, leave behind rich roach dung, and then they die leaving their carcasses there to decompose. |

Hey just wanted to get back to y'all,this year -2011,there are no more cockroaches at all,they all seemed to have disappered by Dec. of 2010. |

Yup! It is interesting to see how critters come and go to the compost pile. I have not seen a worm in my pile in a couple years. |
