I am a wood/stone turner and turn mainly Alabaster (gypsum) and soapstone (talc), I collect in a suction system, and have been throwing it away, along with the wood shavings, and we compost this?

thanks

It should be all right, as long as you add it in very small quantities over many weeks, in a large compost pile composed mostly of good conservative plant matter. That way you will not harm the beneficial aerobic composting organisms in the compost pile.
