Post subject: | Alabaster powder |
I am a wood/stone turner and turn mainly Alabaster (gypsum) and soapstone (talc), I collect in a suction system, and have been throwing it away, along with the wood shavings, and we compost this? thanks mbuckley |

It should be all right, as long as you add it in very small quantities over many weeks, in a large compost pile composed mostly of good conservative plant matter. That way you will not harm the beneficial aerobic composting organisms in the compost pile. |
