I would like to know what the proper method of trimming or cutting back an Oleander. I bought the house with it already planted about 18 inches from the foundation and about 12 inches from the edge of the patio. The thing is as tall as the roof and spilling over onto the patio. I have cut some of the larger branches back to the base but I dont know whether that would be a good thing to do to the whole plant. Any suggestions?

I cannot tell you the best way to cut your Oleander. What I can tell you is that you need to be VERY careful with the clippings. Everything about those plants are poisonous. DO NOT Burn the clippings. Always wear gloves and wash your hands after handling them. I have one no where near that big but I love it. They are very beautiful when they bloom.

My 2 cents,
Chad
