HI there,
the pretty green shoots of my garlic are turning yellow and brown. I planted in Oct & Dec 2011 and I'm making sure I do not over water.

Should I be concerned or is this just the nature of the garlic growing process? As you might be able to tell, I'm new to all of this growing/gardening stuff (and I love it!)

thank you!

How deep did you plant the garlic? They should not be brown right now, despite how cool we may have gotten. Pull one up and see if it's rotting. The ones planted in October were planted at the right time. If the soil is not too compact, you don't overwater..I'm not sure what's happening to them.
