Hello all. I have been listening to HG for about 7 months now. I bought his book and I have learned alot. This year I have decided to go the natural way. This is also my first year for a garden, so I have lots more to learn. I over bought on all my plants thinking that I would lose 50-60% due to inexperience, pests, and por soil conditions. Boy was I wrong. Now I am in a heap of trouble  . All of my plants are producing vegetables, and alot of them. I have lost a few veggies to pests but that was to be expected. They eat their share and I get more than enough for my family & friends. Thanks a bunch Howard for your dedication to educating people on the natural way. I know that with all the great advice I will get from the fine contributors to this site, my garden and lawn will be a bigger success next year. :D

Congratulations on your bountiful harvest! isn't it interesting how much BETTER the gardens grow with organic methods? I have compared my tomatoes with those of a neighbor - who uses "miracle-gro" for tomatoes - the fruit that came out first were much larger and more numerous, but the plants "played out" before the first fruit started turning pink! My monster tomato plants have had to be staked, tied to supports, propped up with bamboo - and my main enemy is the Hungry Squirrel!
i have learned a lot from Mr. Garrett - and I am learning more here.
