With colder weather coming, the squirrels will be coming into attics for the winter. To me they are large rats with fluffy tails. Once inside they cause damage by the gnawing that they do to the wires and wood of the house.
Once inside, I feel that they need to be trapped and relocated. Most people make the mistake and set the live traps in the attic, on rare occasions this works. The best place I have found after 30 years of trapping them is on the roof, on your fence or a tree that they are using to jump on the roof. The best trap is the Safeguard brand that has a rear release door and the trip pan is located 3/4 back from the front door so that once in, it is impossibe to get out once it steps on the trip pan.
Trapped animals should be relocated 10 miles away. For a free trapping tip sheet call me at 972-519-0355

here's a tip. Buy a pellet-gun, a bag of flour, and your favorite cream gravy mix. Shoot the tasty little boogers and have a wonderful breakfast of fried squirrel and S.O.S. Enjoy!
