Has anyone tried Trichogramma wasps in their battle against Squash Vine borers? I have been battling them
mainly by spraying neem, injecting BT when I see any sign of damage, and picking off eggs by hand. But the vines are getting BIG and picking off eggs is becoming a very time consuming chore... so I was wondering if enlisting some help from the wasps would help? But I don't certainly dont want to spend more money on needlessly. And if I did get them, would that mean I should stop picking eggs? I would not want to destroy the parasitized eggs, right?

I wouldn't use neem on the squash - there are any number of plants it harms, and in my experience squash is one that doesn't tolerate neem well. BT on the surface and injecting, and beneficial nematodes might help. I had a pretty good zucchini squash crop going this year - untill I killed the plants with neem in a mix to kill the bugs.

are you talking about squash vine borers or squash bugs? i spray around the base of the vine w/ BT and cut the grub out and kill it. usualy works if you can get the 1st gen. i detroy the squash bug eggs when i find them on the leaves, again usually if i can get the 1st gen of thm i have little to no problems after that.
not sure if the trichtogama parasitize squashbug or borers but if you could get the timing right and they do don't know why it wouldn't work.
