Ive got a Red Oak tree that I planted last year and recently noticed that there is a small hole about the size of a BB in the trunk. It has what looks like blackish sap or something oozing out. Is this a wound or possibly insects boring into the trunk. Any suggestion?? Thanks for the help

Could be any of the above (heck it might even be a hit from a BB)

I'd clean it out, put a little tree trunk goop on it and keep an eye on the tree.
