Looking at one of my small red oak trees, I noticed something small, round and green that was growing at the end of one of the stems.Upon closer inspection it was hollow and appeared to have spider webs inside. It is about the size of a lime and from a distance looks just like one .I plucked it off and went on. Well looking out today I noticed two more.Does any one know what this might be and if I should be concerned?

aace is absolutely correct.

Various types of galls happen on a number of different trees. They are only a problem if they are very numerous which can sometimes indicate the tree is stressed.
