They are normally sold at farm feed supply stores in dry large 20 lb bags in my area. The microbes are asleep in a dormant condition at room temperatures inside the bag. Once they hit the soil and the moisture, they start breeding and seeking a host of grub larvae to attack and kill from the inside out as useful soil parasites.
Since dry molasses powder is a powerful biostimulant, you can sprinkle a little with the beneficial nematodes at application time on your soil too.
