I have heard that cornmeal will help control algae growth in pond's, I know it is made for human's to eat. I have fish in the pond does anyone know if the cornmeal will hurt the fish?

Caution! Michael is dead on about the cornmeal but you have to be careful and not apply it too thickly or you will cause oxygen deprevation in the water from the dead plants and kill your fish. My sister uses it to control algae in her farm's tanks and it works beautifully but they overdid it in one tank and had a fish kill. Be careful but use it, it's way better than any alternatives.
