Need to know when and how to fertilize trees in my yard. have used tree services before but not sure their "natural" program is really organic. Can I do it myself and how?

Keep your yard happy and healthy and your trees (as long as they aren't planted too deep in the ground) will be happy and healthy. Look at some of the lawn forum topics and you'll find discussion of aeration by mechanical means and by using clear shampoo in a sprayer program. You'll read about using corn gluten meal, about dry molasses, and about organic fertilizers, and all of that benefits your trees.

In the warmer time of the year you can do foliar feeding (a mix of compost tea, fish fertilizer, other organic products) in the hose end or backpack sprayer applied to the leaves early in the day or in the evening.
