I am new to gardening and my watermelons have developed these large brown spots originating opposite end of melon from vine. Any idea what may be causing this? excessive heat/bacterial?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

MAY BE LACK OF CALCIUM....ALSO APPLYING ROCK DUST TO CROP AREA WILL HELP...I DON'T KNOW ABOUT TEXAS QUARRIES BUT KNOW THAT VOLCANIC ROCK DUST IS GOOD...PROBABLY TO MUCH LIME IN TEXAS ROCK QUARRIES...I LIKE AZOMITE...CHECK OUT REMINERLIZE THE EARTH ON LINE....ROY (NOTE: WOOD ASH CONTAINS A LOT OF CALCIUM, IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH THO)
