We planted a Bald Cypress early this spring. It has been doing very well. Until recently, when the middle of the tree started turning slightly brown  I have tried to water it a little more and I think it is starting to green back up. Do I need to do anything else? :?:
TIA!
Kit

One of the first things a tree in stress does is shed it's leaves. You shouldn't have a significant amount of brown needles until fall when it naturally begins to shed. Was the tree planted correctly? You need to supplemental water it for the first year, the sprinkler system is not enough. The sick tree treatment is always beneficial to trees in stress.

Also, bear in mind that fall planting is best for establishing trees (that way they can root all winter until the spring budding), and any tree will show some stress in the summer heat the first year it's in the ground at a new site. Presuming it's planted correctly (see the tree planting guide at the top of this forum) and that you water it a bit extra this first year, it should do much better next year.
