Hopefully this is the correct forum for this question. I just got my garlic planted 8 days ago, and several have sprouted already. Not realizing it would freeze tonight (11/12/12), I watered this afternoon; it was dry with all the windy conditions and lots of sun. But I didn't get a chance to mulch the bed. I did give the bed a layer of organic mushroom compost after planting last week, but I'm wondering how much damage I might have caused by watering today. IOW, will they freeze and die?
Might as well prepare myself for the worse. thanking you in advance. Frankie
